Acquisition of Accord, 21st September 2007
Enterprise, the support services company that provides infrastructure maintenance services for the public sector, the utilities industry and other large organizations, is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Accord. The necessary clearances from the EU and the Pensions Regulator have been received.
The combined business will be the largest UK company dedicated to the maintenance of the infrastructure. Through having a larger presence in the UK public sector Enterprise will be able to improve further the innovative, high quality services it provides to Local Authorities and the Highways Agency in the UK. Our goal remains to achieve best value for the communities in which we operate and to provide services and jobs that are sustainable. The combination of the two businesses will provide many development opportunities for employees.
The enlarged company will continue to be customer focused. Every organization for whom we work will receive a bespoke delivery programme which reflects its funding capacity and performance priorities. Customers will benefit from wider use of Enterprise’s unique, state-of-the-art ICT systems, including WorkManager. The Enterprise Foundation will underpin our sustainability agenda and support our corporate responsibility work.
Customer satisfaction on the existing Accord contracts has remained at high levels since the deal was announced, which is a tribute to the hard work and commitment of all employees and staff.

It has been decided, jointly, that the Chairman of Accord, Stelio Stefanou and the Chief Financial Officer, Adam Shutkever, will leave the business immediately. Stelio Stefanou stated “We should be very proud of what has been achieved at Accord. I am especially pleased that Enterprise has bought the company and will provide the resources and scale needed to develop further our success”

It provides maintenance support on a national basis for a range of utility and public sector organisations and has some private sector customers. The company uses its unique ICT systems, WorkManager, to ensure that it provides best value to all of its customers.
