Enterprise is proud to sponsor the Capital Standards 2010 Capital Clean Up campaign which takes place between the 12 May to 23 June across London.
The purpose of the campaign is to educate local communities on waste and recycling and get them involved in local activities. To launch the initiative, a community carnival will be held on 15 May at the City Road Basin, Regents Canal.
The community carnival event will feature a solar powered music stage and circus Big Top which will play host to live music including Battle of the Bands. There will also be Interactive Workshop Zones and a Solar Powered Adventure Dome.
In addition, children can participate in dance and costume making workshops at the Scrap Kingdom Party. This will encourage them to join in the carnival parade later on in the day.
Enterprise works with a number of London Borough delivering their streetcleansing and refuse collection services and getting involved with local initatives and community events is very much a key part of Enterprise's approach.
Kelly Miller, Business Development Manager at Enterprise commented, “Working with the local community in order to improve the local environment we live in is very important to Enterprise and we are delighted to support this year’s Capital Clean Up campaign. The event will be both fun and educational. Clean-up activities on the day will commence at 11am until 5pm at and we would like to encourage as many volunteers as possible to get involved.”
