Scottish Power awards two contracts to Enterprise
Enterprise, the infrastructure maintenance support services company, today announces that it has been awarded two new contracts by Scottish Power.
The largest of the contract awards is valued at around £70m over its three and a half year lifespan. It is a framework contract to carry out underground cable maintenance and renewal services in Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales. The involvement of Enterprise in the programme of works commences in the Spring of 2010. Enterprise currently provides services similar to those within this new contract in the East of Scotland.
In early January 2010 Scottish Power awarded the company a two year contract with a value of around £10m. The programme of works in this project comprises network inspection, surveying and remedial works on the Overhead Line distribution network in the North Wales area. Mobilisation of the contract has started and the work commences formally in February 2010.
Enterprise started working for Scottish Power in 2005. Since that time the scope of work the group carries out for this customer has broadened and has become more integrated. Through good contract performance and the strategic acquisition of Bethell Power Services, Enterprise has increased its capacity to deliver low cost and efficient asset maintenance and renewal services to Scottish Power and other companies in the growing UK power industry.
