Since being awarded two joint venture contracts by the MoD in November 2005, Enterprise is now a partner in two of the largest building repair and maintenance outsourced contracts in Europe.
CarillionEnterprise is a joint venture business specifically established by Carillion plc and Enterprise to develop and manage the Region Prime Contract – Central Region on behalf of Defence Estates (the property management agency of the MoD).
The main jobs in the contract cover the general maintenance and improvement of property assets within MoD establishments. The types of properties are hangers, air traffic control towers, underground bunkers, store rooms, training rooms and offices. Across the contract there are approximately 6,500 assets in a geographical area which includes The North of England, the Midlands and the whole of Wales.
MoDern Housing Solutions (MHS) is a second joint venture between Carillion plc and Enterprise. MHS is responsible for the maintenance of service family accommodation in England and Wales. There are 43,000 properties within six geographical locations called Zones. The dwellings vary from low rise flats and maisonettes to detached houses and substantial listed buildings that house senior ranks.
Enterprise is also providing a state-of-the-art centralised helpdesk for MHS, located at the Matchworks in Liverpool. The Helpdesk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and manages thousands of calls a week from all residents in the Service accommodation.

Defence Career Partnership is a partnership that opens up Enterprise job vacancies to Services personnel who are recuperating from injury and who are on a 'pathway to recovery'. We work with the individuals and their chain of command to investiate the potential for a work placement which would assist them to gain further skills before they rejoin the Forces or take another path. Many of the skills taught in the Forces are core to Enterprise's operations and we are keen to speak to service personnel who may be interested.
