Enterprise is one of the UK’s leading highways services providers, working in close partnership with customers around the country to deliver cutting-edge, best value services.

Enterprise delivers numerous highways term maintenance, managing agent and bundled services contracts throughout the UK. We maintain carriageways, footways and structures as well as streetlighting and drainage systems. We install signage, street furniture and fencing and provide winter maintenance, emergency response and traffic management services. These core activities are supported by a range of specialist capabilities including the ability to deliver town centre redevelopment and pedestrianisation projects, “Safer Routes to Schools” schemes and traffic calming measures.

We have a wealth of experience of partnering and collaborative working. Based on open and honest communication we understand fully the political and budgetary pressures facing our customers and stakeholders and we tailor bespoke services to meet their individual requirements.

Our commitment to innovation and best practice is second to none. We utilise cutting edge technology such as biofuel and electric-powered vehicles, handheld data capture devices and WorkManager, our in-house software suite offering an all-in-one planning, scheduling and resource management tool. We are founding members of the Highways Term Maintenance Association and the Highways Works Best Value Benchmarking Club, Associate Members of Considerate Constructors and active members of the Road Surface Treatments and Road Safety Markings Associations.

Enterprise, Severn Trent Water and West Midlands Highways and Utilities Committee (HAUC) hosted an industry innovations day helping to reinforce the Transport Minister’s Streetworks agenda. Supported by the Department for Transport, the day provided live demonstrations to delegates and was geared at sharing best practice, technology advancements and processes amongst leading industry experts.

Rail

The Rail team is now proudly in its fifth year of working with London Underground. We are customer focused and have built up a reputation producing high quality services, safely and efficiently.

In rail we employ, directly, 150 people utilising specialist subcontractors where necessary. Our approach to established working practices allows us to improve efficiency, develop innovative techniques and harness new technological advances.

Services/Capabilities

Our strengths lie in our expertise and flexibility to undertake the following types of work;

• Planned, Unplanned and Emergency Response Maintenance on Civil and Building Assets including cleaning, remedial and renewal works, fault rectification
• Capital/Renewal Works on stations, tunnels, bridges etc
• Specialist in-house Pipeline Rehabilitation
• Asset Survey Activities including inspections & assessments
• Environmental Works

We have carried out work on building fabric and structure, track, pumps and drainage, bridges and structures, embankments and cuttings, platforms and temporary facilities.
