What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining qualifications and workplace experience. As an employee, you can earn as you learn and will gain practical job-specific skills from the workplace with hands-on experience through working alongside experienced employees.
Apprenticeships also involve an aspect of off-the-job training, as you will work towards a work-based qualification such as a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) or other nationally recognised qualifications.
Employers all over the country recognise and value apprenticeships as they show that employees have been trained in the skills they need.
The Enterprise Apprenticeship Scheme
At Enterprise, we feel that our Apprenticeship Scheme provides individuals with excellent opportunities to learn new skills that will stay with you for life.
Apprenticeships take two to four years to complete, depending on the type of framework. The length of time taken will depend on the ability of the individual apprentice and the employers’ requirements.
We have a number of apprenticeship routes, divided between Operational (trades, grounds maintenance and civil engineering) and support functions (administrative support and customer care).
