Community Initiatives in the North East

Selby Community Primary School
Enterprise, in partnership with Selby District Council, is building a relationship with the local Selby Community Primary School. Our teams gave a presentation to encourage local children to recycle. We ran a competition for the class who recycles the most material to win a wormery. We are introducing an allotment to the school grounds and donating vegetables to get it started. We also arranged for the children to go litter picking in the local community with representatives from both Enterprise and Selby District Council. We are currently looking to run similar initiatives in other local schools.

Kirklees Gas Awareness Group
Ian Longley, an Enterprise employee, did a full day voluteering at a local shopping centre in order to raise awareness of gas safety in the home.
