Bridge to Schools Workshop, Powys
Graduate volunteers from Enterprise visited three different schools in Powys, North Wales during October 2010 to assist Construction Skills Wales with the annual Bridge to Schools workshop. Bridge to Schools attempts to address the decline in the number of school children attracted to the subjects of science, technology, engineering and maths.
Girls into Engineering in Wales
Enterprise has been working with the Institute of Civil Engineering visiting primary schools in Wales to encourage girls into engineering.
Enterprise Donates £2,500 to The Friends of Cedewain, North Powys
On Monday 23 November 2009, Enterprise teams working on the Severn Trent Water contract visited Ysgol Cedewain School in Powys, Wales to donate £2,500 to the Friends of Cedewain. The Friends of Cedewain is a local charity that supports the school, which caters for pupils with special needs. It is the only one of its type in North Powys. Enterprise wanted to show its support after completing work in the area.
Charity Walk with Isle of Anglesey County Council
On Saturday 5 June 2010 our local roads teams and our customer, the Isle of Anglesey County Council, took part in a fundraising sponsored walk to the top of Snowdon Mountain. Around 100 were involved in raising the money, with the majority going to the Isle of Anglesey County Council's chosen local charities Hope House and Alaw Ward in Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital.
