Policy
Our Environmental Management System, accredited to ISO14001, provides a framework for setting and reviewing our environmental control measures, targets and objectives. It also ensures that we comply with all relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice as well as ensuring a focus to make efficient use of energy and material.
We have developed environmental aspect registers which identify the impacts associated with our activities. This enables us to effectively manage the impacts of our services and operations and ensures we continue to minimise their effects upon the environment.

Responsibility
The Chief Executive Officer has overall responsibility for ensuring that a Director is appointed with specific responsibilities for all environmental matters, in conjunction with the Senior Management team, and for formulating and endorsing the Company policy. We monitor our environmental performance via both Divisional environmental support teams and the Group Business Risk Management Team. The outputs of these monitoring processes form a key input into monthly Steering Group Meetings.
Performance and Review
Environmental performance related data is presented to the Board on a monthly basis; with the Divisional Managing Directors monitoring and reviewing their Division’s performance.
We share best practice throughout the Group via our Steering Committee and encourage employee involvement wherever possible. This helps to promote environmental awareness, direct ownership and support for the systems and controls that we have developed together.
