People are at the heart of our business and are the key to our success. As an ethical and inclusive company, we treat all people with respect and integrity, giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential. We are dedicated to ensuring that our people are safe at work.
We have targets divided into six action areas:

- Inclusivity
- Resourcing
- Leadership and Governance
In 2010 our action areas remain unchanged from 2009. In some cases our targets demand a challenging improvement on previous targets, in others; new targets and changes reflect the growing needs of the business.
We encourage employee involvement at all levels of the business, the Employee Survey is one example. Every employee has an opinion on how they can improve their environment, job, processes or company policy. These ideas are integral to the continuous development and improvement of our business. In 2010 we will focus heavily on employee engagement at all levels within the business. All employees should feel safe, be fairly treated, understand their role in the organisation and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our actions drive towards this goal.

The ‘People’ section also takes into account our responsibility towards the health and safety of the general public and our employees. This is our top priority at all times and our challenging targets ensure that we are continuously improving our systems and processes.
