Transport Compliance

As a rapidly growing business with an expanding and diverse fleet, it is essential that Enterprise remains abreast of transport legislation at all times. Our compliance to transport regulations and standards helps us to ensure that we are prioritising the health and safety of our people and the public.

The Transport Compliance team has experienced Transport Managers with responsibility for all aspects of transport law, including the management of Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) and Public Service Vehicle (PSV) operator licensing.  We currently hold over 30 operator licences spanning the whole of the UK ,which include circa 1400 LGV and PSV vehicles.  Our remit is to ensure that all vehicles and drivers are fully compliant at all times.

We are regular contributors to Freight Transport Association’s Waste Forum and Essential Services Working Group. Through these group memberships and through extensive research, we aim to ensure that best practice methods are introduced and implemented across the Enterprise Group.

Members of the team sit on and contribute to Enterprise Road Risk Steering Group meetings. Transport Compliance Managers offer a range of training sessions for drivers who are safety or compliance focused.

Enterprise uses the latest software for monitoring tachograph compliance and has strict guidelines on drivers’ hours regulations.  Bespoke software is also used for monitoring vehicle maintenance and planning inspections.  The team liaises with the Fleet Department, in-house workshops and external vehicle suppliers and their workshops to ensure compliance within the strict boundaries of the law.

Recently, we have been approved as a training centre by The Driving Standards Agency and JAUPT (Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training) to deliver in-house bespoke training to all our LGV and PSV drivers as part of the new mandatory standards.
