Services provided:Housing Prime Contract: Maintenance, repair and upgrading of over 43,000 military dwellings from barracks to listed houses, including building fabric, grounds maintenance and internal refurbishment. Provision of a dedicated contact centre to manage reactive calls from service families and manage work
The CarillionEnterprise contract covers the hard asset management of all buildings and built assets on around 40 military bases in the North of England, Midlands and South Wales.
Value added:
- The contact centre has the highest security accreditation to manage all reactive and planned work and respond to incoming calls. The system is completely auditable and transparent for customers to see real-time progress
- CarillionEnterprise has an established corporate responsibility policy, covering sustainability, environmental management and community engagement
Achievements:
- The contact centre receives over 7000 calls per week from Service families. 99% of calls are answered and the number of calls answered within the target time is consistently above 95%
- MHS won the Sustainable FM "Most Sustainable Private Sector Organisation" award for 2010. The award recognises MHS’s achievements in the approach taken to maximise the benefits to both the environment and to the community they serve

Type of contract:Partnership in a joint venture with Mouchel: EnterpriseMouchel
Services provided:Strategic highways repair and maintenance, winter maintenance, emergency response and provision of Incident Support Units
Value added:
- Environmental sustainability is a strong focus with the use of electric vehicles, rigorous carbon reduction plans and recycled materials used in road repair. There has been a year on year carbon footprint reduction since 2007
- Innovation and continuous development are key areas to reduce costs, increase efficiency and minimise environmental impact
Achievements:
- EnterpriseMouchel was recognised for its hard work with the award of a prestigious ‘Excellence' Award for Corporate Social Responsibility at the London Excellence Awards 2010
- Over 90% of operatives and supervisors have completed or are working towards Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) registration which is an NVQ level 2 or higher
- Hosting/ presenting 33 community events and interacting with 55 educational establishments, reaching over 1500 pupils
