Enterprise - Maintaining the infrastructure of the UK

Our Values and Principles

Our Vision, Driving Principles and Values encapsulate the strategic direction and priorities of the company and our culture. They are the essence of what makes Enterprise the company it is and are upheld by every member of Board.

Our Vision

"In our chosen markets of utilities and the public sector, to be the UK’s leading
integrated services provider focused on front-line delivery."

Our Mission

The Mission inspires and provides a focus and ambition for the company:

"To be at the heart of our customers and communities; delivering plans to improve services and maintain essential infrastructure for present and future generations in an environment that allows our people to contribute and realise their full potential."

Our Driving Principles

The Driving Principles define the goals that enable us to work towards delivering our Vision. They can be seen as strategies or priorities and will be subject to review and will change as goals are met:

  • Health and Safety
We work at the centre of people’s lives, in and around their homes and neighbourhoods. This makes the health and safety of each of our employees and the general public of paramount importance. Our health and safety systems and policies are rigorous, thorough and proven.

  • Community Cohesion and Well Being
Sustainable, productive communities that balance and integrate the social, economic and environmental components of their local area benefit the residents, businesses and future generations.
As a large business we take seriously our responsibilities to the communities in which we work, the companies with whom we do business and everyone who we employ.

  • Partnership and People
Our preferred method of working with a customer is through a transparent partnership arrangement. This approach facilitates communication and enables a better working relationship. We have developed long-term partnerships with large organisations that span decades. It is the flexible, pro-active nature of these arrangements that allows contracts to evolve with the changing needs of the customer and the industry.
We follow a ‘Respecting People’ agenda which empowers each employee to influence service delivery. Our service quality is dependent on the quality of our people. We invest continually in skills and technical knowledge and recruit selectively to maintain our position as an innovative, leading service provider.

  • Performance Improvement and Best Value
Our experience and knowledge of our markets, combined with our least cost operating models, enable us to design services that produce improved performance and best value for customers.

  • Technology and Innovation
Innovative technology and bespoke software designed by our in-house teams allow us to increase the efficiency of our operations, to improve communication channels between sites, offices and customers and to provide real-time updates and reports on work. The use of IT is a core to the way we operate.  For us it is essential to deliver least cost, improved performance and ensure a safe workplace.
